AIFantasyGuide ("we", "us", "the site") operates the website at aifantasyguide.com. This policy applies to that website only. It does not apply to the third-party tools we review, each of which has its own privacy policy and data practices that you should read separately.

Who this site is for

AIFantasyGuide is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact info@aifantasyguide.com and we will delete it.

Information you give us

  • Newsletter signup. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you enter so we can send you the updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • Contact messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. We use it only to respond and to keep a record of the correspondence.

Information collected automatically

  • Server and hosting logs. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider records standard request data, IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps, for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
  • Analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand aggregate, non-identifying traffic patterns (which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from). We do not use this to build advertising profiles of you.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do use a small amount of your browser's local storage to make the site work as expected:

  • Age confirmation. When you confirm you are 18 or older, we store a timestamp in local storage so you are not asked again for 30 days. This value contains no personal information.
  • Display preferences. If you change display options (such as accent color or text density), those choices are saved in local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit.

This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. Any analytics or hosting cookies used are described above; you can also block cookies in your browser.

Affiliate links and outbound clicks

AIFantasyGuide contains affiliate links, explained in full on our Affiliate Disclosure page. When you click an affiliate link, the destination site and its affiliate network may set their own cookies or record the referral in order to attribute the visit to us. That activity is governed by the privacy policy of the destination site and the affiliate network, not by this policy.

How we use information

  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to
  • To respond to questions, corrections, and other messages you send us
  • To operate, secure, and maintain the website and prevent abuse
  • To understand aggregate traffic so we can improve our content
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the site, for example a hosting provider, an email/newsletter provider, and possibly an analytics provider. These providers process data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.

Data retention

We keep newsletter email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We keep contact correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable record afterward. Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider and then rotated out.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information
  • Opt out of the newsletter or any non-essential processing
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and request data portability
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights

To make a request, email info@aifantasyguide.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Because we collect so little, in most cases the fastest route is simply to unsubscribe from the newsletter and clear your browser storage.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International visitors

The site and its service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own. By using AIFantasyGuide you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves or as the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
